Scott Miller, President & CEO

As the Chief Executive Officer and President of ATERAS, Miller charts the strategic direction and growth for the company. Under his leadership, ATERAS is expanding both functionally and geographically to become a leading international provider of automated legacy migration and modernization solutions. Prior to being named chief executive officer and president, Miller was formerly the Chairman and CEO of AMX Corporation. Miller founded AMX in 1982 and took the company public in 1995. He left the company in 1998 but rejoined in 2001 as a turnaround strategist. He rebuilt the company and in the spring of 2005 sold his interest when the company was taken private. A native of Vermont, Miller gained his electronic know-how while serving in the Air Force, and later worked with Geophysical Engineers, Linear Corporation and Pavco Electronics before branching out to form AMX. Miller is known for his leadership, vision and energy.
 

Richard Chance, EVP & CFO

Richard Chance has over 25 years experience in executive management of rapidly evolving companies. Chance is responsible for the administration and finance departments of ATERAS. His experience includes being the president of a technology startup that developed an Internet-based distributed inventory control and ordering system. He also was president of an international manufacturer of commercial airline training equipment in the simulation and training industry. Chance received his BBA in Accounting at the University of North Texas, began his career at KPMG Peat Marwick, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
 

Cindy Howard, EVP, Conversion Solutions

Cindy Howard is responsible for the people, process and technology used to deliver legacy migration and modernization services. Over the course of her career, Howard has managed and directed hundreds of projects and functions for clients at ATERAS. Some of those projects include the management and development of DB-Shuttle™, eavRPM™ and many large and small IDMS, Adabas, IMS and VSAM conversion projects such as the State of New Jersey, University of Miami, Edward Jones, Anchorage Water & Waste Water, Progressive Insurance and National Life Insurance. Howard’s analysis and development expertise includes requirements studies, system analysis, data analysis, project planning, budgeting, system design, data modeling, database design, prototyping, conversion and implementation.
 

Anna Stamatelatos, VP, Sales & Marketing

Anna Stamatelatos has over 15 years experience in sales, business development and marketing for high technology companies. She is responsible for all aspects of Sales & Marketing for ATERAS. She specializes in branding, strategic positioning and business development. Her global growth initiatives include the ability to penetrate new markets, gaining market share and profitability through strategic partnerships such as technology partners and Global system integrators. Stamatelatos received her BA at Lehigh University.
 

James Carpenter, VP Product Development

James Carpenter is responsible for all Product Development team efforts for conversion, modernization, analysis and documentation tools. Carpenter is an expert software designer and developer, responsible for the design of the ATERAS modernization tool suite (eavRPM) recognized with a product innovation award from Microsoft at the World Partner Conference in 2009. He is a leader in the creation of new technology and strategies for conversion and code generation meeting the market demands and industry trends. Carpenter’s role includes Project Management involving design, development, support and implementation of numerous multi-platform databases and applications. Carpenter has been instrumental in the design and development of the ATERAS solutions, including the tool suites and solution architectures for all platforms.
 

Michael Newman, VP Technical Solutions

Michael Newman is responsible for managing the technical teams for all platform solutions. Newman is an expert in designing and implementing solutions for difficult technical issues and in defining language and database conversion methodologies. His specialties include identifying, designing, and implementing equivalent system level functionality for converted systems in disparate operating environments. His expertise is in design, development, support and implementation of SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, IDMS and multi-platform databases and applications. He has a special emphasis on high-performance database and application design, shared structures and high-volume databases. Newman uses his deep background in Database Administration and Application Development to create high-performance, high-flexibility migration solutions at ATERAS.
 

Hans B. Otharsson, VP Conversion Services

Hans Otharsson is responsible for all aspects of legacy migration and modernization services delivery for ATERAS. Otharsson brings over 25 years experience in managing Global Services organizations and project management. Prior to joining ATERAS, Otharsson was formerly the Global Vice President, Professional Services for Software AG. Otharsson was responsible for the Global Resource Management of an International services organization with over 1500 resources and 70 countries. He was also responsible for the development of a Global Mainframe Services Center in Brazil. Otharsson is known for his expertise in the legacy migration and modernization market for ADABAS Natural. He is known for his leadership, on time delivery, technology understanding and providing the right solution for the client to reach their business goals.
