Assembler Routine Conversion

Most of our customers have at least a handful of Assembler routines that are used to provide specific functionality in the current mainframe environment. Most of these routines provide access to control blocks or other features that are unique to the current database management system or run-time. ATERAS provides conversion of Assembler functionality for the new target.

The teams at ATERAS replace the functionality of the current assembler routines so that they instead use the features of the new environment or new control blocks. For those customers whose target is the mainframe, some Assembler routines may remain unchanged. For others who are moving off the mainframe, all Assembler routines must be converted to C# or Java or off-mainframe COBOL, or replaced with functionality that is native to the new target.

In all cases, the ATERAS teams are skilled in Assembler conversion and have a great deal of experience in replacing the Assembler processing that is common for most mainframe processing.
