PL/1 Conversion and Migration

With ATERAS, PL/1 applications are quickly and completely converted to native COBOL programs and to native CICS COBOL applications that execute against your new relational database model. If you have your sights set on .NET or Java for the future, ATERAS also provides modernization to C# or to Java.

If you are replacing an aging database or file system (such as IDMS, Adabas, IMS or VSAM) during your PL/1 conversion, the ATERAS solution includes all changes to your applications so that the new COBOL, C# or Java applications process against the new relational database model. For PL/1-based applications that use IDMS-DC or IMS-DC today, the ATERAS PL/1 to COBOL conversion also includes a one-for-one conversion from the current TP monitor to CICS, allowing native CICS COBOL processing for the future.
