Natural Modernization

The ATERAS® Natural modernization solution generates fully web-based applications to replace current Natural processing. Whether you modernize Natural to .NET or Natural to Java, the result is a fresh set of new web applications that take full advantage of web processing while providing the same basic functionality as the existing Natural applications. With our tool-based modernization of Natural to C# or Java, the former Adabas database access is replaced with object processing against the relational database of your choice, with the database design of your choice.

The ATERAS Natural modernization results in fully object-oriented web-based applications. After the project is complete, the new C# and Java applications are maintained in Visual Studio, Eclipse or any other standard IDE that you may choose. The new database for the applications can be a converted version of an Adabas database, a purchased relational database or a relational database that you design from scratch. The new application is native to Java or .NET, has a very small code footprint (like Natural), and can include buttons, pull-downs, hyperlinks, gridviews and other web features. The new data access methods are easily used "as a service" by other applications.

ATERAS can provide the Natural modernization as a service, or your teams can use the eavRPM® tool suite to perform the modernization in your own timeframe, implementing your own standards, and following your own specifications for look and feel in the new .NET and Java applications.
