The duration of the test phase and the type of testing that is required is based upon the customer quality assurance standards and often upon the critical nature of the application being converted.

The testing phase can be managed and executed by the customer’s technical teams, QA teams, user teams, third party testing team, ATERAS, by one of ATERAS' partners, or by a combination of these teams.

The level of testing and the types of testing are also defined by the customer standards and the requirements for each application, unit, system, integrated, parallel, stress, load and other testing. The ATERAS team can also assist with the definition of base line database management and can recommend strategies for speeding and reducing errors during the testing phase.

Some of the customers use automated testing tools. Because our conversion provides a one-for-one functionally equivalent application, test scripts and results can be recorded in the old environment and can be played and compared in the new environment.
